With a Master’s Degree in Laser Physics from Stellenbosch University, his expertise spans power electronics, embedded software, and high-precision engineering. His career began with pioneering work in pulse power supplies for CO2-TEA lasers, evolving into a broader focus on advanced switch-mode power supplies (SMPS) and specialized electronic systems.

With a strong foundation in C++, software design, hardware design, and agile methodologies, Timo has led Synertronic Designs in delivering cutting-edge solutions for high-voltage, high-current power supplies and measurement electronics in photonics. His passion for both science and engineering drives his approach - blending technical excellence with innovation to develop world-class electronic products.
